This is the first time out of every Nite Fite that I'm totally with Lloyd here. Bottled water is a waste of money. I mean, I buy bottles of water, but when I finish one, I don't toss it and go for a new one. Just refill it with tap water! There's no difference! Water is water!

It's called recycling, thank you! Besides, you can buy one of those...filters if it's really so scary. That's just one payment, compared to the thousands of bottles you're gonna buy. And sticking with recycling, bottles aren't biodegradable. Thanks for destroying America!

The bottles ARE biodegradable. Haven't you looked at the new Poland springs bottles? They're ECO-FRIENDLY. And besides, why would I want to buy a filter? How can I trust those things? How do I know it's really FILTERING it? And plus, you can't get flavours from it.

Plastic degrades incredibly slow, even specific biodegradable plastic! And how do you know your precious bottled water's filtered either? Uncle Dirty could be filling up Poland Springs bottles from his sink and selling them. And if you want flavor, drink juice!

I Like Bottled Water it is good for the invironment if people just recycle or use them for other things like lemonade on the go or sports drinks if your to cheap to buy a water cantine so yeah BOTTLEDD WATER FTW!

At the beginning, when Lloyd pointed out the scam that is bottled water, I got up on my feet and shouted "Hallelujah!"
In a world of free water sources such as sinks and drinking fountains (why has no one mentioned those?), they expect us to keep buying their bottles. There's a wide variety of reusable bottles out there (payed for only once), yet they keep pushing their disposable one-time-use plastic containers on us. They even have the audacity to sell us single bottles when they know we can buy bulk packages of the stuff. But, I guess it's "clean."
Sure, I drink stuff that doesn't go through pipes, like from the water cooler. But that is a service I choose to pay, rather than the bottle companies who seek to enslave our wallets.
It's true you need to watch out where you're getting your water from, but bottled water isn't the only way to attain good water. -
Tap water is free and tastes better anyways.

The only taste difference you could find is the amount of fungus in it.
Get tap water, put it in your fridge in an old water bottle, and get a brand new bottle. Now get a friend to taste it. -
Tap water sometimes tastes MUCH WORSE than bottled water. If you're in a place with tasty tap water, you're lucky. Also, Dasani is the world's worst bottled water. Also, those Pur and Brita filters don't filter out the nasty taste of tap water.

Got to go with Lloyd for once on this one, if tap water really was infested with diseased causing bacteria, think of all the lawsuits that could cause. Tap water is tested and tested in order to be deemed drinkable.

For once Lloyd is right. Penalty is being a wuss. If he really thinks bottled water is that much healthier, he's gunna waste all that money on water he could get from his sink.
Also before bottled water, people drank water straight from a hose. They turned out fine didn't they? -

It's all a matter of taste. I live in a neighborhood where the pipes are over 100 years old. My tap water tastes like rust. Pipes in my neighborhood rupture on a regular basis, so the city is out patching them and for a solid day afterward, I get red clay and musty smelling water coming out of the tap. F#$K tap water! Bottled drinking water is the way to go!

I drink bottled water because it's convienient and that paying 8 bucks for a 12 pack is cheaper than turning on the tap for that much water.
Plus, tap water just doesn't taste right. -
Lloyd is right bottled water is just a waste of money, plus the majority of the major bottled water companies just bottle tap water and charge you 2 bucks for it!

Tap water in America is totally potable. Bottled water should be exported to 3rd world countries, rather than soda.

tap water isnt all that much different from bottled water. So yeah, bottled water IS a scam.
America has some of the safest tap water in the world, and cities like Boston or New York have some of the safest tap water in America.
Bottled water makes more sense in 3rd world countries, where the tap water is dirty and infested, but American tap water is fine. Nobody will ever get sick from drinking it. EVER.
(however, I do have to note that tap water does have small amounts of contaminants like FLUORINE or ARSENIC... so buy a filter to attach to your faucet if you really think 1/1,000,000th of a particle is going to kill you.)

I can't agree either of ynz. First of all it totally depends on what part of the country/world you're in as to whether you can drink the tap water (Mexico, Zambia, Cumberland MD???). But you don't trust a bottle with a waterfall either. Waterfalls are FILTH. I'm siding with Lloyd b/c he's my main super crush.

When they filter tap water, it removes one of the Hydrogen atoms, leaving you with HO (which is terribly unstable), instead of H2O.

Bottled water isn't any different from tap water except it's IN A BOTTLE! As long as the pipes are okay (a.k.a.- you're not in Mexico), tap water is perfectly drinkable. What you pay so much for is the bottle, not the f***ing water! I bet if someone had water from a tap and from a bottle no one could tell the difference if they didn't know which was which! And another thing: Penalty is being really hypocritical here- he drives a hybrid to save the environment but is okay with creating waste from water bottles?! That just doesn't make sense!
And as for flavoured water, just drink something else if you want flavour, water isn't supposed to be flavoured. Go drink a gatorade or some soda or something... -
When i drink bottled water, i taste nothing. Thats because truly pure water has no taste. So all you people talking about your tap water tasting better are actually tasting chemicals in the water!

Yeh I'm going to have to go with Lloyd on this one bottled water is a total WASTE!!! Yes some are recycleable and it is also recycleing your wallet just to get water that is "filtured" which is not its the same as regular water the only difference in taste is that you think it is filtured when its not if you where to fill any water bottle or any kind of jug full of regular tap water put it in your fridge and then drink it later it would taste the same as the ones you buy in stores or at gas stations. Do yourself's a favor save the money in your wallet if your THAT conserned about it being filtured then go and buy a bretta maschine that filtures it for you you'll save ALOT of money and you don't have to try and recycle all those water bottles.
